Historic Hungarian success at the 22nd Beach Tchoukball Festival: KEME SPORT HUNGARY excelled in Rimini

At the world’s largest tchoukball sports festival in Rimini, 123 registered teams and over 1,200 competitors from various countries around the world tested their skills this year. However, the year 2026 marks a special milestone for the domestic sports scene: at this prestigious international event, the KEME SPORT HUNGARY tchoukball team stepped onto the sand for the very first time, achieving results that exceeded all expectations.

The Result of a successful fusion

KEME SPORT HUNGARY was created as the result of an extraordinary collaboration. The formation was born from the fusion of the Keszi Tchoukball Sports Association and the Mende Sports Association. Enjoying the support of the Hungarian Tchoukball Federation, the team represented our country under the delegation of the Mende Sports Association.

The preparation and leadership of the players were managed by Kinga Kovács, an outstanding athlete, coach, and professional. Thanks to her professional guidance, the small team performed better than expected and managed to secure a fantastic 6th place in the U19 category. This amazing result is a huge recognition for both the federation and the participating sports associations, as they managed to field a team in a remarkably short time that truly held its ground on the international stage.

Sportsmanship on and off the court

The Hungarian youths earned the respect of foreign teams not only with their gameplay but also with their outstanding attitude. One of the most beautiful examples of this is the relationship formed with the festival's 1st place winner, the SUSARES team. The winning team supported the Hungarians with extremely friendly and appreciative communication both during the matches and off the court. This feeling was entirely mutual: the players of KEME SPORT HUNGARY stood on the sidelines and cheered wholeheartedly for SUSARES when they stepped onto the sand.

During the tournament, numerous new, high-quality connections were built with coaches and players from other countries. Maintaining these relationships is a key priority for the future, as they serve to strengthen human bonds and promote the development of domestic tchoukball. The 22nd Beach Tchoukball Festival was a prime example that Hungary's presence at events of this magnitude is entirely justified, both professionally and in the spirit of sportsmanship.
